Since its inception ICNF has had only one mission:
To function as the focal point of Islamic knowledge and society
in the North Fulton Community, preserving a heritage of
Perceiving, Practicing and Propagating Islam.
We serve the communal and societal needs as the:
Center of Learning
A masjid is a center of learning for all Muslims. In it we learn the sublime character of the believers, the stories of the prophets before, and the skills to required to make a positive impact on the world. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "Whoever seeks a way to acquire knowledge Allah will make easy his way to Paradise." (Sahih Muslim, 2699). It is a commandment from our lord to learn Islam and the wisdom that makes it the most perfect religion.
Center of Companionship
Mankind cannot live in a vacuum. Every individual must live and interact with others and when interacting with others one either influences or are themselves influenced. A masjid therefore is much like a washing machine it gives a chance for people to rub against each other with soap water in between. By rubbing against each other, in Salatul Jama'ah and programs launched by the masjid, they are cleaned with the beautiful message of Islam, Quran and Hadith in between.
Center of Dawah
Our doors are always open to new comers. This is a public welcome to our neighbors and friends. No matter the religious differences, our belief encourages the enjoining of good and forbidding of evil to both Muslims and Non-Muslims alike. Therefore, any events hosted at ICNF are open to all who wish to come. One day, one event or one hour is not enough; we must encourage dialogues to truly learn Islam as it is practiced by our neighbors and our friends.
This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you,
and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.
Six articles of Belief (from WhyIslam.com)
A Muslim believes in ONE GOD, Supreme and Eternal, Infinite and Mighty, Merciful and Compassionate, Creator and Provider. God has no father or mother, no son or daughter. None is equal to Him. He is God of all humankind, not of a special tribe or race.
God is High and Supreme but He is very near to the pious thoughtful believers; He answers their prayers and helps them. He loves the people who love Him and forgives their sins. He gives them peace, happiness, knowledge and success. God is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous, and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. Many of these attributes of God are mentioned in the Quran.
God creates in humans the mind to understand, the soul and conscience to be good and righteous, the feelings and sentiments to be kind and humane. If we try to count His favors upon us, we cannot, because they are countless. In return for all the great favors and mercy, God does not need anything from us, because He is Needless and Independent. God asks us to know Him, to love Him and to enforce His law for our benefit and our own good.
