Message from Chairman

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Us-Salaam Alaikum. We are the blessed; I hope everyone agrees with me. Open your eyes and you will find millions of people around you who are not.

We are mortals and I am becoming more and more cognizant of it. Think for a minute of all those dear ones and friends who passed away between last Ramadan and this, you will be amazed. No one knows who is next? But I do know that we are born with a finite number of days, we call life. And we are all accountable to Allah (SWT) for each one of them on the Day of Judgment. With every passing day we are a day short. It is imperative, at the end of each day, we assess and evaluate if we spent it correctly, so as to improve our actions the following day. Allah (SWT) has provided this opportunity to us, the Muslims, by prescribing 5 prayers each day. This is the best time to reflect on the progress of our day at every phase.

Only through such introspection can we improve on ourselves and maintain our value system that includes our spiritual, family and cultural values. Our value system was passed to us by our fathers and forefathers. It was not presented to us on a silver platter; it came to us through lots of sacrifices, compromises, and visualizations of future. It is our obligation to pass it to the next generations. This is possible through successfully instilling in our children and future Muslims our core believes and values. This possible only through associating yourselves with the Masjid.

Every time we pray (that is 5 times), let us reflect on it and pray Allah (SWT) for ourselves, our families, and our future generations. Oh yes, pray for the success of our Masjid and our programs too. If we take care of our today with focused hard work, tomorrows will take care of themselves. God forbid, if we don’t, we are depriving ourselves of the happiness and blessings of Allah (SWT) allowing ourselves to be part of those millions and millions of the unfortunates

The blessings of Ramadan are upon us, I pray that Allah (SWT) accept all our duas, actions and reward even our good intentions based on His unlimited Rehamah, AMEEN.
